You are watching: 2005 chrysler town and country fan relay location

I have a 2004 Chrysler town & Country. The engine light come on, and the code come out p 048.0 i beg your pardon is informing me cooling fan relay 1 manage switch. My concern is where can I discover it to replace?
Assuming it\"s the radiator pan relay, that relay is heavy state and also is located on the former bumper reinforcment, behind the grill. 1. Open hood and also disconnect and also isolate the battery negative cable.2. Eliminate the radiator crossmember come front fascia closure panel.3. Disconnect the relay electric connector.4. Eliminate the rivet (drill) it is registered the relay to the former bumper beam and also remove the relay.

Thanks, I actually just had this problem... Couldn\"t figure out what that was, engine was slightly over operating temp, some of the coolant to be evaporating because of temp. The didn\"t fit a thermastat walk out, no hot sufficient for that to it is in water pump, no leaks. Ns noticed the pan werent working, therefore I checked the fuse it was good. I was totally stumped, so i took it end to a friend who had actually a diagnosic computer and also found out it to be the relay (error password P1491). Had no idea where to look, looked everywhere. Found this forum and also got some an excellent advice, for this reason thanks. Only difficulty now is the parts store provided me the part for a 1999 or older version :/
